Mikael Jacobsson

Mikael Jacobsson was born in 1972 in Sweden. His work plays with the transience of the moment, with the blur that can arise in a rapid movement. His works show houses, streets, trees, landscapes, rooms and detailed photographs. Here and there, even a piece of the sky – and everything resembles a slightly blurred world as it passes us by the window of a car or train. Mikael Jacobsson captures the moment of movement in all its intensity; he seems almost tangible to us. His works are deserted, which is by no means an indication of loneliness. The houses are inhabited, the fields cultivated – the light of the windows, the well-maintained gardens prove it. What happens there remains hidden, in secret.
